Featured Wedding

KED Design's flowers complemented the orange and purple color scheme. Check out the bride's shoes in matching colors.

I did full planning on a wedding that was featured on the blog A Bicycle Built for Two.  It’s a blog that says it is “real wedding inspiration for lesbians, queers, and everyone else.”  I love what they do!  They show real people and their real choices for celebrating.

So, please check out the post about the wedding I planned.  And take a look at their archives.  There’s a lot of good stuff there.

I was at one of my favorite venues the other night, the Redfield Estate at The Grove in Glenview.  It was a vow renewal ceremony for the couple, and they had a great time with their family and friends.  Here are a few pictures that I took of the reception.

Committed 2017

March 6th, 2017

Did you miss Committed 2017, the annual wedding show staged by the Green Wedding Alliance?  It was a couple of weeks ago at the Greenhouse Loft.  As always, it was a fun, low-key afternoon of food and flowers and happy people planning their weddings.  All the vendors are members of the Green Wedding Alliance.  Here are a few photos from the show.

Summer Wedding Photos

October 31st, 2016

I was fortunate to coordinate a wedding this summer that not only was one of the nicest couples I’ve worked with but also allowed me to work with some of my favorite vendors:  the venue was the Kenilworth Club, Four Finches was the florist, and the cake came from Bittersweet Bakery.  There were also some wonderful vendors I hadn’t worked with before:  Catered by Design, Martini Lunch, which is my new favorite swing band, Celestial Strings string quartet, and Studio Finch for photographers.  Studio Finch very kindly shared some of their photos with me.  Take a look at this very fun, very personal wedding:
